## cents

Currency cent was part of the currency guilder in the Netherlands. The currency was of a decimal system and therefore there were 100 cents in 1 guilder. The coin was struck from a copper alloy and was used and minted by various Dutch monarchs. the euro currency unit, the euro was taken into use as currency.
